Head on

So, now that it's fall, deer season is upon us and it's always a problem out here. Because I drive about 60 miles roundtrip on a highway next to a bunch of open fields and pastures (and because I once hit two deer in a Ryder truck with sheesh), I'm very hypervigilant about them. Each morning on the way to work, I count how many huge blotches of red paint the highway. It's not a pretty site and I'm paranoid when dusk approaches. However, I wonder if I will be able to take the advice in this local story and overcome instinct: Intentionally hit something (anything) head-on in your car at full speed, without trying to swerve. Aye.
